A way to put ourselves in the customer/learners shoes is to make a customer/buyer persona. This is a semi-fictional representation of your ideal average customer. Show on screen an example of a customer persona
It helps you to gain an understanding of your learner's world and is a tool to generate empathy for your potential users. It’s so easy to shrug them off as numbers or concepts rather than thinking of them as real human beings.
Ultimately, creating customer persona's allows you to design better products and create copy/text that will engage them.
