An outline for generating customers.
Why even bother to talk about capturing attention now? We haven't even talked about creating our edu-products, let alone making them live ready for purchase! You're right, we haven't, and for good reason too...
On the journey to having a slam-dunk education product online, there is a very deliberate road of putting out platform-relevant content along the way. As you walk down the road, the right idea is to leave a trail of bread crumbs behind you for others to follow all the way up to the digital shop.
The breadcrumb analogy, whilst a bit cheesy is helpful to think about here, as you are making your bread (the course, ebook etc), you can post sections/chunks/off-shoots/breadcrumbs to your chosen platforms. That way people get to preview the contents of the product without purchasing the full product to build confidence but also you're getting free content to market yourself by repurposing the work you are already doing. This method is known colloquially on the internet as Building In Public.
In this section, you can use the channels database to record every platform that you will post content too as you build, you can also set the frequency you would like to post to make sure you stay on schedule. We've pre-populated the most common channels with some configurations that we recommend.
Define some core content types. Think about the 'format and style' of the content. Is it an in-depth guide or is it a quick 60-second vid? What Content Types will you publish on what channels? How often will you publish?
You can view all this marketing information and more via the marketing business area dashboard. Add the specific channel names and the links to those channels to the table below. Click Active when it's setup. This will also make it appear as active in the toolkit. Also include any communities you joined.
